She is the Member of Parliament for Cardiff North, first elected at the 1997 election and returned in 2001 and 2005.
Julie Morgan was selected by Cardiff North Labour Party as their candidate for the 1992 general election.
She became the first woman to represent a Cardiff constituency and, at the time of her election, was one of only four women MPs from Wales.

I am the first woman Member of Parliament in the city of Cardiff, and one of four women elected in Wales on 1 May. That is still only four women out of 40 Welsh Members, but it is four times as many as in 1992.
One of the best-known residents of the area near the hospital is the former Speaker of the House of Commons, Lord Tonypandy.
Gwilym Jones was the Member of Parliament for Cardiff, North for 14 years, living in the ward of Lizvane and St Mellons--which, incidentally, has the only Conservative member of Cardiff city council.

Luton is a town in England, located 50km north of central London and officially part of the East of England region.
In 1990 the airport was renamed "London Luton Airport" in order to boost the profile of the airport in the eyes of foreign visitors, likely to be heading to London but not realising Luton was close.
In 2004 the airport management announced[1] that they supported the government plans to expand the facilities to include a full-length runway, either on the current alignment, slightly south on the same alignment or at an angle to the present runway[2].

The constituency office will be staffed from Tuesday 2 January, but in an effort to start the New Year with a clean slate, it will be closed to the public until Monday 8 January.

The constituency office is closing for the Christmas holiday from 3pm today until 9am on January 3.
We began the year with the magnificent Grand Slam in the Six Nations championship and we are ending with news of a new EU budget that will bring substantial funding to us.
The Committee reported in May and the Assembly debated its report on 25 May. A motion in support of the report was carried by 40 votes to nine.
