Carduelis flammea rostrata: This race, found in Greenland, is larger and browner than Carduelis flammea flammea.
Carduelis flammea cabaret: Found in Europe, this is the smallest race of Common Redpoll.

 Arctic Redpolls in New Hampshire in December 2003
Several Arctic or Hoary Redpolls Carduelis hornemanni were detected amongst these birds, whilst carrying out the Keene Christmas bird count on 14th December.
The presence of Arctic Redpolls Carduelis hornemanni is of major interest to many birders during these invasions, but shouldn't be totally unexpected (Kaufman 1996).

All my subsequent endeavours to meet with this species failed, and I am unacquainted with the female.
