		Hong Kong police are investigating the abduction of an actress 12 years ago after a magazine published a naked photograph of her taken during the kidnapping.
		Carina Lau, who shot to fame in Asia for her girl-next-door roles in films during the 1980s, did not report the abduction at the time.
		Lau talked about the kidnapping for the first time on Sunday during a protest organised by the film industry to denounce East Week's publication of the picture.

	Mighty Baby
		Hong Kong Lau Ching Wan and Louis Koo return as the two male leads of 'Mighty Baby' and are joined by Gigi Leung, Carina Lau (who has more of a cameo role here) along with new additions Cecilia Cheung and Rosamund Kwan.

		There are examples of movies growing on you on subsequent viewings and I have a gut feeling this will do but for the sake of judging the film on its first viewing, parts of the scripts comes off as slightly muddled.

		With regards to others of LADY SUPER COP’s cast who are not unrespectable in terms of their reputation and work in other films: Waise Lee is majorly underused as Carina Lau’s character’s old flame and fellow police officer; and Eric Tsang only appears midway through this production and is soon disposed off.
		Neither did an early sequence in which we see Lau slowly buttoning up her blouse and putting on the rest of her uniform before rushing to the parade ground to take part in a ceremony where we see her getting officer’s pips.

		Apart from the talented and (then) young cast, what really appeals to me is Christopher Doyle's astonishing cinematography to help capture the whole summer-vibe of 1960's Hong Kong, and the use of largely noticeable clocks in the background was to later inspire his successful romance 'In the Mood for Love'.

		Chow encounters both people from both his past and other Kar-Wai films — Carina Lau reprises her role from Days of Being Wild, now working as a hostess in a bar, and Ping Lam Siu once again plays Chow’s editor.
