Weathers first played small parts in two blaxploitation flicks, Friday Foster (1975) (in which he played Yarbro) and Bucktown (1975) (playing Hambone), both made in 1975 and directed by Arthur Marks.
During the 1990s Weathers starred in four "In the Heat of the Night"; (1988) two-hour TV specials that were much better received by critics and viewers alike.

Carl Weathers does an admirable job as Action Jackson, ably pulling off a character that balances comedy with tough guy attitude.

Carl Weathers is every bit as qualified to make a run at elective office as Arnold is. Both are successful athletes (Weathers was on the Oakland Raiders) who followed up with successful action movie acting careers.
Weathers is fairly articulate as far as I can tell from Happy Gilmore, and unlike Arnold, he doesn't have a brutally unpleasant Austrian accent.
I really can't say whether Weathers has groped 15 or more women over the last 25 years, if he's ever had group sex with a woman at a gym and bragged about it, or whether he thinks it's funny to push a woman's head into a toilet.
