Carlos is already bordering on becoming a very good player, and Carlos will probably become a great player for the majority of the six year deal that he has just signed with Utah, and one which the Cavs have 14 more days to match.
Boozer would have brought a certain stability to this team, instead Cavs management has actually created the potential for a much higher ceiling with the group that they put on the floor this season.
