Native Title (New South Wales) Amendment Bill - 22/09/1998 - 2R COMM   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-11)
However, the New South Wales Government was only too well aware, at the time of sending its list of leases to be scheduled to Canberra, that that was to be its one and only opportunity to protect graziers on western lands leases from frivolous native title claimants.
The New South Wales legislation implements only two points of the Federal Government’s 10-point plan - those applying to validation and confirmation, that is, it confirms that native title rights have previously been extinguished by the grant of private freehold and other leases that give exclusive possession, such as residential, commercial and agricultural leases.
The New South Wales Minerals Council and the New South Wales Farmers Association have indicated that they do not have major objections to the bill but have reserved judgment on provisions dealing with such things as section 43A of the Commonwealth Native Title Act, which deals with the State’s alternative to the right to negotiate.

In a pilot study, we examined whether notification of single (rather than multiple) cases, active surveillance, or both would improve the reporting of foodborne illness by family physicians and thus its detection in the community.
