		In 1981 came the album Faith (Loyalty or allegiance to a cause or a person), which hit #14 on the UK charts, as well as an instrumental soundtrack for the film Carnage Visors (these were packaged together as a long-play cassette called Faith/Carnage Visors).
		Carnage Visors was used as a "tour support" film for their "Picture Tour".
		The music from Carnage Visors had a very limited print run and has subsequently become very rare.

		I mean, Faith is a short album, and I think that B-side could fit on a single CD together with the album.
		I would buy it even without carnage visors (which I really thought was a bunch of crap anyway...

		as for Carnage Visors, I listened to it once, and that was plenty for me. 28 minutes of the same instrumental music, it sounded like it would end at any moment around minute 11, but it kept going for another 17 minutes!
		The demos are a pleasant listen, and the live stuff, though not super crisp, is interesting to hear the performance level they were at at the time.

		I'm salivating over the prospect of Seventeen Seconds, Faith and Pornography reissues in 2005.
		They really should append Carnage Visors to Faith (the best Cure album).
		I'm not always a fan of this 'remastering' malarkey, but Seventeen Seconds and Faith (cd versions) desperately need some attention.

		But I'm just amazed that the band does such a good job here, and they never tried something similar in their "official" albums.
		Smith often tried to achieve the same effect in different ways, and it turns out Carnage Visors outshines much of their other work, at least in the Pornography days.
		I guess this is because Smith and Co. weren't trying to call everyone's attention to the fact that they were sad and depressed and angsty.
