Carol Bowman - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Carol Bowman is an author, and the maintainer of a web site dealing with Children's Past Lives, which is also the title of one of her books.
In her books and on her web site, she writes about cases of children who seem to recall past lives (spontaneously, that is, without the need for hypnosis).
To some degree, Carol Bowman builds upon the work of Dr. Ian Stevenson, but her books are slanted more toward the casual reader, and generally do not contain the meticulous research and documentation found in Dr. Stevenson's books.

The first book documents parental accounts of their children's early childhood utterances of when they were "big before", or when they lived in the "other house", and how remembering a past-life trauma, eliminated a fear in their present life.
The children in this book, tell of their life as their own grandparent, or as a first child, who died when very young, and is now back with the present parent as that parent's second or third child.
In addition to verbal accounts and behaviors, children may be born with birthmarks the size and shape, and ones that color the same part of the youngster's body, that held a wound, deformation, or even surgical scar, on the deceased relative's body.

Bowman's extraordinary investigation was sparked when her young son, Chase, described his own past-life death on a Civil War battlefield--an account so accurate it was authenticated by an expert historian.

In Children's Past Lives, Carol Bowman recounts the startling discovery of the past life source of her own children's phobias.
Through her research and through firsthand interviews with parents, she collected dozens of children's past life memories too complex and detailed to be fantasies, and of events impossible for young children to know about or even understand.
Bowman discovered that many children speak spontaneously - without hypnosis - of their past lives, and here she offers parents practical advice on how to recognize children's past life memories, how to respond, and how to elicit the full healing benefits of these experiences.
