Carrickfergus Borough Council is a Local Council in County Antrim in Northern Ireland.
The Council headquarters are in Carrickfergus and the Council administers the town, on the north shore of Belfast Lough, and surrounding area, which extends from Greenisland in the south-west to Whitehead in the east.
The Borough is 32 square miles, with a population of nearly 38,000.

 30th Anniversary Flower Bed - Carrick in Bloom
The flower bed was presented to Christchurch by Carrickfergus Borough Council to mark 30 Years of Ministry in Carrickfergus and as part of Carrick in Bloom 2004.
Carrickfergus Borough Council developed the Carrickfergus in Bloom initiative to brighten up the Borough, to become a borough of Flowers.
Carrickfergus in bloom is also part of the Translink Ulster in Bloom Competition - a province-wide campaign organized by the Northern Ireland Tourist Board.

If the councils perception towards CR is different from the communities perception this has to be addressed and the core problems have to be ironed out.

Crimestoppers and Carrickfergus Borough Council have teamed up in an effort to 'clean up crime' in the Co Antrim town and its surrounding area.
Carrickfergus Council vehicles have become the first local authority vehicles in Northern Ireland to display the Crimestoppers logo and the campaign strap line, 'Cleaning up Crime in Carrickfergus' on bin lorries, street sweepers and environmental services vehicles.
Carrickfergus is the first district council in Northern Ireland to be involved in the scheme.

 Carrickfergus District LOL 19 - Pageant
After World War II the Brethren of Carrickfergus decided to hold a pageant re-enacting the landing of King William III in Carrickfergus which took place on 14 June 1690.
This was to be a fund raising event for Orange Charities and also to extend the King William III Memorial Orange Hall.
Although the parade is still organized by Carrickfergus District Lodge the actual pageantry is organized by Carrickfergus Historical Re-enactments Group and is supported by Carrickfergus Borough Council.
