Charles Phillip Ingalls was the father of Laura Ingalls Wilder, known for her Little House on the Prairie series of books.
Ingalls is better known as "Pa" from the Little House on the Prairie books by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
Ingalls was portrayed in the television adaptation of Little House on the Prairie by actor Michael Landon, in Beyond the Prairie movies by Richard Thomas, and in the newest miniseries by Cameron Bancroft.

Carrie is about seven or eight by this time, but she apparently has.
Almost every time we see or hear about Carrie, she's in the process of wetting her pants, has recently wet her pants, or is frantically scrambling to the outhouse to prevent wetting her pants (or rather, her calico dress).

Ingalls spent the weekend alone baking pies for the church and accidentally slices up her leg trying to shove the cow back into the barn in the pouring rain - then crazed with fever, she gets loopy while reading the bible and decides she needs to hack off her own infected leg.
Ingalls for some reason is the schoolmarm and decides she is going to tutor a "special education" student that the other kids call Dumb Abel.
