Between the county’s budget cuts and state and federal funding reductions, Hogan said, both agriculture and natural resources and 4-H school programs will be cut, but the community 4-H clubs will remain the same and the office on W. Main St. should remain open five days a week.
Hogan said 80 percent of his budget is for payroll, and Commissioner Jim Griffeth explained that when a county’s office budget is reduced, it is up to the department heads how they will cut costs.
Hogan, who has served as Extension director for 20 years, said Carroll still is faring better than other Ohio counties.
