Rolling Stone : Johnny Cash Dies
When Cash was still a tot, his father took advantage of an FDR program that allowed him to buy several acres of land in Dyess, Arkansas, near the Mississippi River, in the northeast part of the state.
Cash scored a minor pop hit (and a country chart topper) in 1970 with Kristofferson's "Sunday Morning Coming Down." He was also a friend and champion of Bob Dylan, bringing the singer-songwriter to the Nashville set.
Cash sounded reinvigorated singing the newer material (as well as contributing the occasional original like the staggeringly layered "When the Man Comes Around" this year) and potential contributors were tripping over themselves to have their songs recorded.

Arkansas will need to use data from the survey and followup focus groups to learn more about what information is needed to help the "unsure" population make a well-informed decision to choose the cash option or stay with their current program.
Arkansas needs to learn more about the reasons for surrogates' high level of interest in the cash option, as well as their role in working with a consumer to choose the cash option.
Arkansas survey data indicate that these possibilities are limited, as a majority of consumers and surrogates interested in the cash option (81 percent and 74 percent, respectively) said they would want help or training with payroll and taxes.

The Cash and Counseling model is attractive to substantial minorities of both elderly and nonelderly adults with physical disabilities, particularly the latter.
Arkansas counselors maintained a list of (1) workers employed by one consumer who were also willing to work for another consumer, and (2) workers who were willing to work for another consumer after the death of the relative or friend who had employed them.
The experience of the Cash and Counseling programs is that building a caseload of 200 cash recipients would take six months or more, depending on the success of outreach and enrollment and the speed with which consumers are able to complete their spending plans and move to the allowance.
