Mizraim - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Mizraim was the brother of Cush who, together along with Phut and Canaan, made up the Hamite branch of Noah's descendants.
Mizraim's sons were Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, Pathrusim, Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistines), and Caphtorim.
In order for Mizraim's name to have any meaning, Egypt must have already been founded (and also divided into Upper and Lower Egypt).

PART TWO: THE LINEAGE OF HAM
According to this account, some six or seven nations descended from Mizraim were destroyed, clearly a major conflict that would have had profound and far-reaching repercussions on the world of those times.
Seemingly known in later records as the Lubim, this people settled on the north coast of Africa and gave their name to the nation of Libya.
The precise whereabouts of their country is uncertain, although the book of Genesis does record that the Philistines came from this people.

They were not to be found in Upper Egypt like the Pathrusim, and Casluhim and the Caphtorim - they had come forth - they had departed to establish a mini-Egyptian state in the Land of Israel.
