Cass County (C-22), bordered by Arkansas and Louisiana on the east, is located in northeastern Texas on the state's eastern boundary; it is one county removed from the northern boundary.
Cass County comprises 937 square miles of the East Texas timberlands, an area that is heavily forested with a great variety of softwoods and hardwoods, especially pine, cypress, and oak.
Northern Cass County is drained by the Sulphur River, and the remainder is drained by Cypress Creek.

Cass County Georgia was created in 1832,from parts of Habersham and Hall Counties, at the time nine other counties were formed,being Cherokee, Cobb, Forsyth, Gilmer, Lumpkin, Murray, Paulding, Walker and Floyd.There were many inhabitants as early as 1800= The whites living amongst the Indians.
By an act of legislature in 1861, the name of the county was changed to Bartow, to honor Francis S. Bartow, born in Savannah in 1816, and died at Manassas, commanding the brigade consisting of the 7th, 8th, and 9th Georgia, and the 1st Kentucky Regiments.
WORKSHOP, The Bartow County Genealogical Society held a Family Research Workshop on Saturday March 12 at the Research Library, speakers, Mark Anthony, the President of the Rome Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution spoke on Findind your Ancestor for the Sons of the American revolution membership.

In January of 1995, the City of Logansport, Indiana began a curbside recycling program that was paid for, in part, by a grant from the Cass County SWMD.
In addition, county residents have access to drop-off sites at the Oak Ridge Landfill, Pioneer Elementary School in Royal Center, Tall Sycamore Campgrounds east of Logansport off US 24, and in the Town of Galveston at the Waste Treatment Plant.
In addition to curbside recycling, the Cass County SWMD also offers the District ways to dispose of or recycle large household items, household hazardous waste, tires, household batteries, and oil, among other items.

Am unsure of the exact date, but the Cass County Boys joined sometime in the mid 1940s, and were with the Autry radio show until it's end in the mid-1950s.
Celebrating the 12th Anniversary of that show are Autry and his singing group, The Cass County Boys, and from L-to-R are: Bert Dodson, Autry, Freddy Martin and Jerry Scoggins.

 Cass County prosecutor gets starving boy case
CASSOPOLIS -- The Michigan State Police has given the Cass County Prosecutor's Office its report on an emaciated 16-year-old boy with cerebral palsy whose weight had dropped to just 40 pounds before he was hospitalized.
Prosecutor Victor Fitz said Tuesday that he and his staff needed more time to go over the findings before deciding whether to file charges.
Michigan officials said that in recent years, the boy and his family lived in northeastern Indiana and in several communities in southwestern Michigan, including Niles in Berrien County and in the Cassopolis area in Cass County.
