X-Men Character Bios: Xavier, Cassandra Nova
Cassandra was barely able to defend herself, and the shock of the roiling battle caused a miscarriage of Cassandra's fetus.
Though the doctors pronounced her stillborn, Cassandra in fact survived, and spent the next thirty-plus years as a growing mass of cells in a sewer, building a new body for herself, and planning her revenge on her brother.
Wolverine severed Cassandra's vocal cords and she was brought to the Institute, where she began to exert telekinetic and telepathic control over the X-Men, making her way to Cerebra by phasing in an effort to destroy all mutants.

Cassandra Nova - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
When Cassandra used Cerebra and focused on all the mutants, the pieces of Xavier's mind were brought back together; at the same time, Jean Grey telephatically attacked the Immensity, and both of them were able to force Cassandra out of his body.
Cassandra's influence resulted in Emma creating manifestations of Cassandra in her human form, Sebastian Shaw, Emma's prior incarnation as the Hellfire Club's White Queen, and Negsasonic Teenage Warhead, a former student of Emma's who was killed in Genosha.
Cassandra's plans were foiled by Cyclops, and other students at the Xavier Institute (including Blindfold and Hisako Ichiki) and by Emma herself, who rebelled against Cassandra's influence and attempted to have Kitty kill her in the hopes that this would thwart Cassandra's plans.

Cassandras first move was to put Xaviers mind into her body which she booby trapped with a multitude of diseases, while she went into his and masqueraded as him causing all sorts off havoc.
But no one would trust Cassandra Nova, no matter how reprogramed she was, so they made her body that of a little girl, but the face still reflected Cassandras image of herself (Xaviers twin) hence the old-lady face.
Cassandras motives are plain and simple she is the oppisite to Xavier.

When Nova impersonated Xavier, she did a perfect impersonation, set up traps to her advantage, dismantled what she could of what Xavier cared about, and then, once free to do so, basically went psychotically crazy.
When Nova became Xorn, she also had a perfect impersonation at first, set up traps and cirumstances to her advantage, dismantled what he could of what Xavier cared about, and then turned into a psychotic nutjob.

Cassandra Nova is a supervillainess in the Marvel Universe, primarily associated with the X-Men.
Cassandra Nova is twin sister of X-Men leader Professor X, who strangled her in the womb (having recognised her evil nature) leading into Nova being delivered stillborn.
Cassandra then put herself into Xavier's machine Cerebra (an enhanced version of Cerebro) and switched minds with her brother before Emma Frost snapped Nova's neck (Emma had been in Genosha teaching during the attack and witnessed her students massacred).

Cassandra is the fraternal twin sister of Professor Charles Francis Xavier, the founder of the X-Men.
While in the womb, Xavier detected how evil his sister was, and couldn't allow her to be born, so he used his powers that were still developing to kill her, or so he thought.
She was eventually defeated, her mind placed into the body of the Shi'ar Imperial Guard Stuff after her mind was wiped, and eventually allowed to assume the form of Ernst, as she undergoes re-education at Xavier Mansion.

That's probably because she was actually written to be a villain and not a misguided sheep in wolf's clothing.

The basic plot of the first story arc ("E Is For Extinction," published in #114-116) involves the plan of Cassandra Nova, a next-generation mutant, more advanced than Professor X and his heroic charges.
Although the X-Men supported the use of violence to stop Nova, they realize that a different approach is needed to solve the larger problem: she is not the only one of the new generation of mutants bent on destroying their predecessors.
We soon discover that Nova was somehow able to transfer her consciousness into Xavier before her death, and that her superior mental abilities have taken control of him.

This was initially understood as being part of the fact that Cassandra was telepathic, but it also can be explained that she knows this because she once possessed Scott's body.
Also: When Charles is first psychically assaulted by Cassandra, she introduces herself as "the first, the oldest, and the last enemy." This perfectly describes En Sabah Nur - in Marvel continuity, he is the first mutant in history, and as we can see in Here Comes Tomorrow, he is the last enemy.

However Cassandra soon discovers that she has fallen for another trap that the White Queen had arranged, and Xavier evil twin finds herself locked into the body of a Shi'ar shape-shifter.
I also loved the panel sequence where Cassandra Nova discovers the body she's moved into wasn't what it appeared to be, and the sequence in the school room was nicely surreal.
The big finish to the Cassandra Nova arc wasn't nearly as engrossing as I had hoped it would be, as frankly her defeat is largely dependent her suddenly becoming oblivious to the rather obvious traps that the X-Men had laid out for her.

Kitty proved to be too strong however, and as Scott is explaining the situation, Nova attempts to force Emma to change strategies and place Nova's mind into Hisako, whose armor, it seems, can be pierced by none but adamantum.
Yes, Cassandra wanted her there to take over her body, but Emma subconsciously also wanted her there to watch her and do, as Scott observes, exactly what she was doing, trying to stop her.

When Cassandra suddenly overcomes her imprisonment and effortlessly strolls her way to Cerebra (in order to take over Charles Xavier's mind), Emma Frost (who moments before the battle began had left the X-Mansion, intent on revenge against humans for the genocidal Sentinel attack on Genosha) shows back up to snap Cassandra's neck.
