 Languages of Spain
El Euskera, or the Basque language, is spoken in the northern central area of Spain (where the Pyrennes meet the Cantabrian Sea) and it is nowadays written with Latin alphabet.
Castillian is also spoken in many countries around the globe which where former colonies of Spain, most of them in Central and South America (except Brazil and the Guyanas), but not exclusively, and that is a fact that many people are not aware of.
Castillian was declared the official language of Spain by Philip V in 1714.

Anyway, as the topic is about languages, it is good that you can preserve your language and speak it freely no matter what Spanish government does.
I was born in Barcelona, Spain, so I fluently speak Catalan and Castillian (I think this is more correct term than Spanish, 'cause Catalan, Euskera and Galician are also Spanish languages), I use them both back and forward everday.
If they were true, Balearic would also be another language, but in "Ses Illes" they never say that, neither their government who is ruled by the same party.
