Coun Peter Jackson, Conservative Leader on Castle Morpeth Borough Council, suggested at a meeting of the full Council two weeks ago that an emergency meeting be held between local Police and Council chiefs to discuss youth disorder.
Mr Pearson told the meeting that between April and early December, total disorder in Castle Morpeth was 20 percent down on the same period last year.
But it also revealed that disorder remained a major issue for many people in Castle Morpeth, and has placed it top of the priority list for the next three years.
