  Karrowkeel
The Carrowkeel/Keshcorran Megalith complex is located west of Lough Arrow just outside the little town of Castlebaldwin and is the sight of the largest concentration of passage tombs in Ireland.
Castlebaldwin is located on the N4 about 20 kilometers South of Sligo.
Be sure to stop in at the Castlebaldwin tourism center and pick up some of the wonderful free literature on trails and other ancient sites in the area.

Follow this road for another 4 kilometres to arrive at Lough Nasool and a further 600 metres to reach Lough Bo.
There is a regular bus service to Castlebaldwin and Ballinafad.
From Castlebaldwin, it would be a walk of around 3 kilometres to reach the first view point.

Carrowkeel is a collection of of megalithic era passage tombs near Castlebaldwin, just south of Sligo in County Sligo.
These tombs are a few years old, usually dating to the 2nd millennium B.C. They were created as an entry way and burial ground for those entering the after life.

The area is characterised by undulating farmland, it is scenic and relatively unspoilt, the site has views of Lough Arrow to the south.

Many traditional musicians from the South Sligo area including Gurteen, Tubbercurry, Castlebaldwin, Ballymote, etc. were taught and played in the same style but Killavil is seen as the source.

The way follows narrow boreens up onto the bricklieve Mtns.
A bog road is then followed gently downhill - Carrowkeel Passage Tomb Cemetery lies up on your right and will invite a detour.
Otherwise descend to a road junction and turn right to pass the donkey sanctuary, followed by a steep descent to Castlebaldwin.
