  The Castlevania Adventure
Konami's first forays were delivering Gradius and Castlevania titles for the Gatorade-colored-screen.
Unfortunately, this early effort results in one of the weakest Castlevania games out there.
What this means is that you'll have to make several pixel perfect jumps unless you wish to plummet to your death.

Castlevania (video game) - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Castlevania is the North American and European title of Demon Castle Dracula (悪魔城ドラキュラ Akumajō Dracula), a Japanese console video game developed and published by Konami for the Famicom Disk System in 1986.
Castlevania is a typical platform game of the 8-bit era: the game is comprised of six levels, which are played through in a strictly linear progression.
Each of Castlevania's six levels conclude with a boss fight: these bosses are generally taken from horror literature or legend, and include Frankenstein's Monster, Medusa, and the Grim Reaper.

Castlevania Adventure features a very small number of enemies, so be prepared to see the same ones many times in all the levels.
Castlevania Adventure should be embraced as a great addition to the Castlevania series rather than as the redheaded stepchild.
Castlevania Adventure may not be the best Castlevania game ever, in fact it’s not even close, but it’s a bad game by no means.

There are many pieces from Castlevania 1, 2 and 3 for NES, one piece each from the first two Game Boy-games Castlevania Adventure 1 and 2, and one piece from the more complex SNES Castlevania 4.
With the synth difference not being so immense, the Castlevania IV track "The Caves" didn’t take hold of my attention so strongly as the other pieces, but it was still very good.

 My Castlevania History
From all of these experiences, there was a cold truth to accept: Castlevania was going to exist in some form on some system in one dimension or another, and there was pretty much nothing that I (or good sense) could do about it.
Castlevania: Circle of the Moon showed Konami's willingness to defer to old game-making methods and combine them with new ones to create a depth of gameplay when everyone else is too preoccupied with the "high polygon counts with superific framerates that collision-detect the flow in the dinaflow"--whatever that means.
Castlevania Chronicles is a very good start, but it leaves, oh, about twenty-plus titles that are waiting to be reborn.

Castlevania: Lament of Innocence (ps2: 2003): Reviews
Set in the 11th Century, Castlevania: Lament of Innocence thrusts players ten centuries into the past and casts them in the role of Leon Belmont, the forefather of the legendary Belmont.
Proof that a Castlevania game can be done in 3D while retaining the essence of the series with great music and gameplay, and a stylized look.
Hardcore Castlevania fans may be disappointed with Lament because of its emphasis on action and Konami's decision to break up the castle into levels instead of keeping it whole.
