Catawba County was granted the authority to levy impact fees in the 1980s by the legislature, but we have not levied the fees.
The county is not in the water and sewer business but needs to work with municipalities to provide water and sewer to underserved and stressed parts of our community.
The county should limit participation to municipalities in Catawba County.
