SKYCITY Auckland's Bar3 is set to play host to a line-up of some of New Zealand's most critically acclaimed short films throughout July, in support of the New Zealand Screen Awards 2005.
SKYCITY is the sponsor of the Best Short Film category in the New Zealand Screen Awards, and Bar3 will be showing two of the finalists Closer and No Ordinary Sun.
The ceremony in which the winners will be announced will be held at SKYCITY Auckland's Theatre on Tuesday, July 27.

The islands are home to the rare Hooker's Sealion Phocarctos hookeri (VU) with an estimated population of 12,000-14,000 of which some 95% breed in the Auckland Islands, and the New Zealand Fur Seal Arctocephalus forsteri of which the largest breeding sites are in the Bounty Islands (20,000 in 1992).
Campbell and Auckland Islands show signs of extensive glaciation and have a number of harbours and deep inlets, while the Bounty Islands are a group of small and rocky islands with no safe anchorages.

 Historic Windsor Castle building rocks on
However, research by the Historic Places Trust revealed that much of the building's 1850s roots remained and it is now rated a category I building by the trust and category A by Auckland City Council.
It remains one of the earliest surviving hotels in Auckland and is among the oldest remaining brick buildings in the region.
The building continued to be modified and refurbished over the next 100 years, although many of its original features were retained.

It was Fiji's second medal of the night after Sisilia Nasiga grabbed bronze in the women's under 70kg category.
In the other men's final, Qerewaqa grabbed Fiji's first gold medal of the Games with his victory over England's Daniel Sargent in the over 100kg category.
It also marks a welcome return for the 10-time national champion, having last competed at the Auckland Games in 1990, when judo made it first and only prior appearance at the multi-sport event.

After completing surveys off New Plymouth, the Auckland Islands, Bay of Islands, Cook Islands and the Kermadec Islands, Clive Holmes returned to HMAS PENGUIN in Sydney to attend the six month RAN Staff Course in 1993.
In 1987 Clive Holmes attended the six month Royal Australian Navy (RAN) Basic Hydrographic Surveyor Officer's Course at HMAS PENGUIN in Sydney where he gained the International Hydrographic (IHO) Category B qualification.
Clive Holmes left the RNZN in 1985 after embarking on a career in Auckland's commercial sector; however, the chance of specialising as a hydrographic surveyor drew him back into regular service in May 1986 when he joined HMNZS MONOWAI as a Watchkeeping Officer.
