Rose is most certainly not in the category of Ruth, Mays, Aaron, Schmidt, F Robinson, Musial, Cobb, Speaker, Wagner, Mantle, Williams, Gehrig etc. Rose was a singles hitter who lasted for a really long time and who made a name for himself with a very aggressive style.
Rose is looked upon as a pariah, yet the juicers and corkers are just shrugged off.
