Computer Science 1 using Java (CS1) is a large course taught in the first semester for students entering the Science and Engineering Departments at the University of Iceland (UnIs).
In category one, three questions were asked; whether or not the students had a computer at home ("yes" 86%), whether they thought large lectures effective ("no" 65%), and what they expected their final grade in the course to be (average 6,9 out of 10).
