 IBSA - International Blind Sports Federation - Technical Department Section /
IBSA and UEFA (the Union of European Football Associations, organisers of the Champions League, the UEFA Cup and the Euro Championships) have signed a sponsorship agreement to develop blind futsal in the region.
Europe is one of the strongholds of the sport; we have a good number of countries competing internationally, as can be seen from our IBSA European Championships in the B1 category later this month.
The backing from UEFA will enable us to provide these countries with the tools they need to coach their players, train their referees and, hopefully, be ready to play in future IBSA European and World Championships, as well as international Cup events and friendly tournaments.
