With seven cars on the grid at the weekend coming from the Formula Renault UK Championship, there's increased British interest in the Eurocup, but the domestic teams fully realise it will be a difficult task to challenge the category frontrunners and, in particular, championship leader Scott Speed.
The Formula Renault V6 Eurocup also forms part of the LG SRW at Donington, with former Formula Renault UK drivers Ryan Sharp and Robert Bell in the field, although Robbie Kerr has had to withdraw.

Having established Perkins Engineering at the end of 1985 to build and prepare racing sedans for his ever-increasing customer base, Larry also supplied and refurbished the open wheel Formula Holden V6 powerplant, his engines powering the championship winner from the category's debut year and for the next six years.
For 2002, the Castrol Perkins Racing team is fielding three VX Commodores for Larry (chassis 040) and his two contracted drivers, Ingall (chassis 039) and twice Bathurst winner Steven Richards (chassis 038), with all three scheduled to compete in the Australian Grand Prix support event and all 13 rounds of the V8 Supercar Championship Series.
Larry started his first full season of motor racing in 1970 in Formula Vee at 20 years of age, before graduating to Formula Ford and, in 1971, winning the Driver To Europe Formula Ford Championship (since renamed the Australian Formula Ford Championship) in an Elfin 600.
