Anna Siewierska - Department of Linguistics and Modern English Language at Lancaster University Earlier I was a senior research fellow in the Department of General Linguistics at the University of Amsterdam, and prior to that a lecturer in the Department of English at Gdansk University (Poland). I have just finished a book on the grammatical category of person entitled Person which is to be published in the CUP red series (see comprehensive bibliography) and am about to start writing a new book on language universals and universal grammar.
