 Bob Berg joins Synthesis for BYU Jazz Festival March 3-4
In 1993, Berg's recording "Back Roads" was nominated for a Grammy Award in the "Best Contemporary Jazz Performance" category.
PROVO, Utah (February 28, 2000) - Bob Berg, one of the most exciting and creative saxophonists in modern jazz, will join BYU's premier big band Synthesis for the final nights of the 21st Annual BYU Jazz Festival Friday and Saturday (March 3-4) at 7:30 p.m.
Synthesis, named the number one jazz band at the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival in Moscow, Idaho, will join Berg to perform jazz favorites, original works by Berg and an award-winning student composition.
