In 1985 the band Silent Circle hit the German single charts with ‘Touch In The Night’ - cowritten, arranged and recorded by Axel Breitung, 2 further singles and an album got chart notations too.
A lot of radio stations put the song on their playlists and thus it became a hit before the record was in the stores.
Two further nominees have co-produced their last albums and singles with Axel Breitung: DJ BoBo - nominated in the category 'Artist National' and Modern Talking - nominated in the category 'Band National'.

 News for Finding Nemo (2003)
Arnold Schwarzenegger's 2003 summer release Terminator 3: The Rise of the Machines topped the home-video rental charts with revenue of $12.2 million, according to Rentrak Corp. The Jonathan Mostow-directed movie took over the top spot from Disney's Finding Nemo, which had set a DVD record the previous week.
While extraordinary, especially for an R-rated film -- and one in which the dialogue is spoken in Latin and Aramaic -- analysts pointed out that sales had a long way to go to equal the record of 8 million copies sold in a single day by Finding Nemo (17 million the first week).
Joining the film in the Best Drama category were The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King; Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World; Mystic River; and Seabiscuit.

 Spectator, The: Greatest hits
The Hothouse Flowers's Greatest Hits (London) is tragically thin; Frankie Goes To Hollywood's Maximum Joy (ZTT) wholly redundant; while Lenny Kravitz's Greatest Hits (Virgin America) is a shameless misnomer of a record, as only a handful of them have bothered charts anywhere.
Historically, of course, greatest hits collections fall into five rough categories: the genuinely useful and enjoyable career overview; the last desperate throw for an act in apparently terminal decline; the opportunistic rerelease; the pointless live album; and the good old-fashioned record company rip-off.
Top of category one this year is The Best Of Blur (Food/Parlophone), which finally collects all the hits from a band who, for all their reputation, have never really produced the great album we have all been hoping for.
