99 and Darkest Hour, City of Caterpillar could be described as screamy and hard (without the more demanding vocals of those bands), but they do so much more than that, extending their shorter, more aggressive sections into meditative sonic excursions.
The debut self-titled full length recording from City of Caterpillar clocks in at around 44 minutes, and it does everything mentioned and more.
But, strangely enough, this is a hardcore album, so mixed in with all those quasi-orchestral elements are the traditional panicked rushes and cries that are commonplace with hardcore.

Hacks of this game are known as "Hangly Man", and "Caterpillar".
Pac Man. These hacked ROMs do not let you control the speed of the game with a button; the game is always fast, and Pac Man is faster than the ghosts.
And removed existing speedup cheat hack from Pacman/Ms Pac Man as the way it was implemented in MAME is NOT how it was implemented in the arcades.

They have somehow managed to produce an album that has a raw emotional quality contained within well-structured and musically interesting songs, a feat rarely accomplished without to some degree sacrificing one of these crucial elements.
As this song fades out, it becomes apparent that these Swiss lads have united two rival schools, being the City of Caterpillar/Cream Abdul Babar screamo-sludge mixed with the more dense, crusty edge of bands like Dystopia or even Bongzilla.
Passion meets precision on this CD in a way that has not been heard since the aforementioned Dystopia’s Human=Garbage opus, thus Impure Wilhelmina can confidently stake a spot beside Floor, City of Caterpillar, and Cult of Luna in your CD collection.

City of Caterpillar, MP3 Album Music Download at eMusic
The City of Caterpillar's songs typically span periods of six-plus minutes, taking time to relay and warp themselves, changing moods within a context while never falling into a rut.
With a residue of dissonance, intermingling melody and vibe, the City of Caterpillar waits in your house, in a room you never knew existed.

City of Caterpillar - City of Caterpillar - Stylus Magazine
City of Caterpillar are the members of the eight-man punk phalanx Pageninetynine who, well, really like Godspeed You Black Emperor!
The stunning result is a carefully thought-out album that knows the value of its brief detonations of chaos, understands that a multi-part song need not collapse into alienating conceit, and tosses in just the right amount of tremolo to make its cavernous guitar-and-drum-march buildups raw and suspenseful.
Or else they’re just trying to change with the times and to play something more marketable, be it emo or post-rock, though they’ll almost certainly tell you otherwise (word on the street is that a certain “rock revival” band in your town just might be comprised of former ska dudes).

Most of their albums are urgent and key, but since you seem to be responding more to their early period I'd focus on _Seventeen Seconds_, _Faith_ and _Pornography_ for now.
I'd agree with you mostly except there is also "Boys Don't Cry", "A Forest", "Primary", "Charlotte Sometimes", "The Caterpillar", and "Fascination Street".
I might be underrating _WMS_ but only slightly, as I said, it's a good album that seems worse when compared to the other Cure albums (which range from amazing to astonishing for me).

 TrouserPress.com :: Kyuss
Kyuss found itself through the agency of Chris Goss, the Masters of Reality vocalist whose affinity for droning fuzz-riffs, floorboard-rattling bass and skull-shattering cymbals proved a perfect fit on the three Kyuss albums he produced.
It's hard to discuss Kyuss without exhausting the permutations of the words "hot" and "dry," but song titles like "Molten Universe," "Caterpillar March," "Demon Cleaner" and "Asteroid" are aptly evocative.
The ferocious "Thumb" and the droning instrumental "Apothecaries' Weight" show Kyuss equally potent at playing hard and soft; though the album does drag a bit toward the end, it's one of the most gratifying blasts of volume this decade has yet produced.

To their new album Submodalities, which was released October 3rd 2000, The Moffatts have a new grown up rock sound and a new look.
With “Bang, Bang, Boom” being the first single released from the album, hitting number one on Canadian charts, and touring with Christina Aguilera in the summer of 2000 it has obviously been proven that The Moffatts make music that is highly appealing.

Although the production on DJ Keoki's first non-mix album is predictably unsubtle, his mixing skills and feel for how music should flow provides for a more than competent album, especially considering Keoki's low status in the underground.
Besides the single "Caterpillar," the Superstar DJ tours through deep house on "Blow" and hits techno on "Wicked." One of the few lapses in judgment is the faux-rap vocal track "Me." ~ John Bush, All Music Guide Read More

id you ever see that episode of The Simpsons where Homer is forced to care for the screamapillar, a caterpillar that screams continuously, has low self-esteem, and is sexually attracted to fire?
However, while the final track redeems this artist and this work in my eyes, I still cannot recommend it, simply because I think a person who shells out hard-earned money deserves better than 33 minutes of screamapillar noise, followed by 7 or so minutes of elegiac peace.

Nude as the News: Lou Barlow: Emoh
Barlow coaxes his caterpillar girl out of her cocoon, then cautions her to "Look out, the birds / like me, they want you now." Such are the risks of breaking out into the light.
Lou Barlow's first real solo album, Emoh, is poorly named.
Barlow makes sure that Emoh isn't just plain old folk music with the positively blasphemous "Mary," a song that begins "Immaculate conception, yeah right / Crazy Mary, good that you lied" and doesn't do anything else to endear itself to literal readers of the New Testament in its subsequent three minutes.

This really was a caterpillar to butterfly style metamorphosis, setting the band well on their way to the almost “living legend”-like status they enjoy (although I doubt the infamously moody Thom Yorke finds anything particularly enjoyable) today.
A distorted lament for a love that’s been broken down by everyday life, the track is a moving anthem that Yorke now considers one of his favourite songs off this album.
As the song comes to a close, the sound of a far off marching band (recorded by producer John Leckie from a hotel window in America) can be heard in the background before the surging title track bursts into life.

Rua is easily the most aggressively and intensely beautiful album I've heard since the self-titled City of Caterpillar disc.
Clann Zu takes elements of traditional Irish "drinking music" (as I so lovingly refer to it) and meshes it with a combination of aggressive guitar rock, electronic/techo backbeats, and contemporary songwriting sensibilities.
Allow me to hang my head in shame at all of the 311 and Limp Bizkit one-liners I made at the expense of Clann Zu after I'd read that members of the band were once a part of the Australian rap-metal act Non-International Lifeform.
