I have been able to visit regularly from the last days of steam to the present day and seen the locations' sad steady decline as a freight centre, the closure of the yard, and its rise as a modern park and ride passenger centre in the South Wales valley lines network.

 Vorcampbel's View: Science Fiction Conventions
He got really excited as the train pulled into the station, and wanted to get on with me. My mother had other plans, so she held him tight as the doors of the train closed, and was carrying him so that he could see me as the train pulled off.
It was only a few minutes from the station by taxi, but as I had not been to Blackpool for twenty seven and a half years, I needed a little help getting my bearings.
So he was put into the baby seat in her car, and my case went into the boot, and off we went, with at least 10 minutes to spare, over to the station.

icWales - Walk off the weight for a healthy heart
It shows that a person of average weight - about 11st (70kg) - working at the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff could burn more than 100 calories a day by walking at average speed from Cardiff Central station to work and back, instead of leaving and boarding the train at Cathays station.
A Wrexham council employee based at the Guildhall would burn off 100 calories by walking from and to Wrexham General station, instead of using the closer Central station.
The research reveals that almost half of those who could walk or cycle to work but don't are put off by the prospect of getting out of bed earlier.

It was named by the French Ambassador to England in March 1994 at Waterloo Station after the Kansas City undertaker who invented a vital switch that made the Electro Mechanical telephone possible.
As there is only the one name on the board, we think it must be from a station close to Bournemouth.
