 Replacing Rod Donald (David Farrar)
Mike Ward is 8th and he is a nice guy but with the Greens already having one of the older average ages in Parliament, bringing back a guy in his 60s would not help them with the youth vote.
After Ward is the capable Catherine Delahunty, but if she came in then you would have only one male MP in the Caucus.
So 90% likely to be Nandor, with say a 10% chance they may jump down to Russel Norman at No 10.

A huge thankyou to all supporters of Central Auckland's St Benedict's Community Gardens, specifically, Keith, Nandor, Catherine Delahunty, Hanafiah Blackmore, Joel Cayford and friends such as Maire Leadbeater and Brendan Hoare, because.....
Last week the rightful authority: Parks and Recreation Committee, voted unanimously to postpone the eviction of the gardens 10 months.
So thanks again, and those who wish to get their fingers in the dirt, our Sunday working bees will be a lot more enthusiastic from now on!

That is totally inaccurate, but again, I don't have a specific objection to it.
But where certain people on the Left have used Rod Donald's death to score political points--as Nicky Hager and Catherine Delahunty did--to criticise those who disliked his political views but accorded him respect in death--then they are trying to make a political statement.
When they say, effectively, "you b*stards on the Right gave him a hard time in life!", then there is no dignified response to that.

He was said yesterday to be too distraught to talk.
There has been speculation that Mr Tanczos was seen as a one-issue politician and the Greens might leapfrog him and the next two list candidates -- former MP Mike Ward and Catherine Delahunty, to election campaign manager Mr Norman.
I don't know where they got that from.
