Among the novel teachings of the CPA are support for artificial contraception and abortion, and a rejection of the Pope's authority.

Then, to convey its true intent, the correct language should re-write the name CCPA to be "Chinese Catholic Anti-papal Association" (CCAA).
The nature of the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association and Church is incompatible with the nature of the Roman Catholic Church.

The Patriotic Association was erected to confuse Catholics, creating its own bishops and building its own churches in order to weaken the hold of the universal Church.
