Cathy Davis (born c 1959 in Poughkeepsie, New York) is a former female boxer who caused sensation in the sport of boxing during the late 1970s.
Davis became a household name in the United States by fighting on television many times, in various areas of the country, including Nevada, California, and much of the Northwest.
Davis made history in 1977, by becoming the first, and, so far, only woman to be on the cover of Ring Magazine.

Cathy Davis and her 13-year old daughter, Dani, along with Cathy’s father, Gordon Trynor, were inside the home watching the chickens and deer “hang out together” in the Davis yard on Oct. 20.
Davis said last week that two dogs, which she said weighed about 75 pounds each, attacked one of her five, 4-pound chickens, picked it up and shook it.

Anyone may enter the contest, said Cathy Davis, logo contest coordinator and a member of the Mars Exploration Program Office at JPL.
Logos, which are multi-colored and typically about the size of a person's palm, can be any shape, such as square, oval or rectangular, and depict a variety of scenes relevant to the Mars Surveyor '98 mission.
