  Catwoman
Catwoman, in her first appearance, wore no costume or disguise at all, and it was not until her next appearance that she donned a mask, which was a theatrically face-covering cat-mask that had the appearance of a real cat, rather than a more stylized face mask seen in her later incarnations.
In Batman #62, it was revealed that Catwoman (after a blow to the head jogged her memory) was an amnesiac flight attendant who had turned to crime after suffering a prior blow to the head during a plane crash she survived.
Catwoman was at various times played by Julie Newmar and Eartha Kitt in the live-action Batman television series of the 1960s, her first other-media portrayal.

 CATWOMAN
Perhaps the film might have worked if one went to the other and said, “You know, we have no real chemistry, let’s stop it right now.” Bratt's police department is also an insanely over- propped set; I am sure modern CIA offices don't have the hardware that his department does.
CATWOMAN is the ultimate cure for insomniacs, a would be super hero thriller that should be crushed with a large, over sized hammer into some sort of prescription pill form and given to those who want to be put out of their nocturnal misery.
This film is such a profusion of many things I despise in modern films and anyone looking for something that might approximate a good story with characters that echo with any depth might have to cough them up in hairball form, because you are not going to find it here.

 Catwoman film review
Standing silhouetted against a full moon, Catwoman (Halle Berry) purrs, "Sometimes I'm good, but sometimes I'm bad." That may be so, but the same can't be said of the film that carries her name.
Catwoman is the alter ego of the self-proclaimed drudge Patience Phillips who is even described by her best friend Sally (Alex Borstein) as "fun deficient." It's a phrase equally suited to the film; along with 'inspiration deficient' and 'originality deficient'.
With little else to justify its existence, the only conceivable reason Catwoman appears to have made it to the big screen is because it allows the gratuitous sexploitation of the delectable Halle Berry.

The GATE :: Review of 'Catwoman' Starring Halle Berry
Of all the scenes with Berry the absolute sexiest is when we see her sneaking around town in a track suit that shows off every curve and nuance to her body far better than a ripped up piece of leather.
Catwoman has a woman in a tight outfit that steals now and then, kicks ass now and then, flip-flops between heroism and cowardice, and doesn't seem to have a single purpose to her life, not even when she supposedly is out for personal vengence.

Mutant Reviewers from Hell do "Catwoman"
I mean, seriously, for an alleged "superhero" film, Catwoman sure does spend a lot of time transforming herself from a klutzy shy artist to a Fully Independent Woman™ complete with hot cop boyfriend and obligatory sassy R&B soundtrack.
Secondly, as far as heroism is concerned, Catwoman isn’t exactly being pushed to her limits in this film.
I mean, while Spider-Man is defeating crazy super scientist Normal Osbourne, and the X-Men are saving the world against Magneto, Catwoman’s heroic accomplishments in this film include stopping the music at a loud party, rescuing a child from a broken Ferris Wheel, and ultimately facing her nemesis — a 40-year-old model who’s addicted to face-cream.

UGO Screenwriter's Voice - Film Review -- Catwoman
Incidentally, an early trailer for the film cannibalizes dialogue from the trailer for The Crow.
For example, when you meet Patience's cubicle mates at her dayjob, you have the slightly overweight woman dispensing relationship advice (known to some screenwriters as the "Carl/Carla" character) and the effeminate gay guy (when one starts referring to characters with "the" in front of it, you know what to expect).
You also have the villain of the film, which the film attempts to set up as someone else, but you clearly know who the real villain is. This may have been an attempt at a plot twist, although either they weren't trying especially hard or it wasn't particularly well executed.
