The cauterization snare assembly in accordance with the present invention and the associated method of removing a piece of organic tissues (such as a polyp) facilitates use of a cauterization snare assembly as described and claimed in U.S. Pat.
During an ejection stroke and a subsequent retraction stroke of cauterization loop 520 and auxiliary loop 522 in response to the manipulations of an actuator (not shown) at a proximal end (not shown) of the instrument assembly, cauterization loop 520 and auxiliary loop 522 expand and contract in unison in essentially a common plane.
During a polyp cauterization procedure as described hereinabove, pocket 756 is separated from the proximal side 758 of loop 760 owing to a peeling away of the polymeric adhesive layer during a retraction of loop 760 into the distal end of a sheath 765.

In order to give further evidence that cauterization is not prohibited in Islam, Ibn Hajr quoted the hadith which was reported that the Prophet (s.a.w) had himself cauterized the wound of Sa`d b.
This means that as long as medicine conceived disease in terms of philosophy and looked upon it as a disturbance in the equilibrium of body’s humors, cauterization could not be more than a last resort to which physicians had recourse when treatment by honey and cupping failed.
Cauterization (al-kayy), it might lead to medical benefits and harmful side effects as in the case of al-khamr (intoxicating drink) which according to the Qur’an might have both beneficial and harmful consequences for mankind, but the harmful ones are more.

Ingrowing toenails were the commonest problem dealt with and phenol cauterization, either partial or complete, was the standard form of treatment.
Over a 2-year period 1013 phenol cauterizations were carried out on 631 patients.
We conclude that phenol cauterization should replace surgical ablation in the treatment of ingrown toenails.

Islamic Medical Manuscripts, A Note On Phlebotomy, Cupping and Cauterization
The medieval practice of surgery included bloodletting, cupping, and cauterization, the latter employing caustics or a heated metal rod, not just to stop bleeding, but as a treatment in itself.
These procedures -- bloodletting, cupping, and cauterization -- were very old techniques indigenous to the pre-Islamic Near East as well as to ancient Greece.
While phlebotomy, cupping, and cauterization were primarily conducted by barbers or cuppers, the topics were discussed in every general medieval medical encyclopedia, for they were treated as aspects of surgery.

Of the 12 patients who underwent intraoperative airway endoscopy, the internal orifice of the fistula tract was specifically visualized and seen to be patent in 10.

 Nosebleeds--Stop them Forever!
To stop bleeding once it occurs, they recommend ice packs on top of the nose, gauze packs for the inside of the nose, pressure on the nose for 5 to 10 minutes (but as long as 30), and elevation of the head or a slight tilting forward so that blood will not be swallowed.
The reason why cauterization is effective for a little while after the procedure is done, is that one big scar is created to replace the many other little ones created by previous nosebleeds.

Summary: Ninety-four patients with tubal factor infertility were studies to determine whether proximal tubal cauterization is an effective method of reversing the decreased pregnancy rates seen in patients undergoing in vitro fertilization-embryo transfer with hydrosalpinges present.
These pregnancy and implantation rates are comparable with those found in patients with tubal factor infertility without hydrosalpinges (53% and 22%, respectively), as well as in salpingectomy-treated patients (46% and 24%, respectively).
Researchers concluded that proximal tubal cauterization is effective in reversing the adverse effects of hydrosalpinges.

 Worry over cauterization
It is not a malignant condition in any way, and is totally benign, but because the tissues are softer and more fragile, they tend to bleed a little on contact, which may result in slight spotting or a browny coloured vaginal discharge after sexual intercourse.
This is not the first stage of cancer or anything like that, but because of the softening, it is best treated by cauterization, a treatment that is simple and painless.
