		Cavatina (Italian diminutive of cavata, the producing of tone from an instrument, plural cavatine) is a musical term, originally a short song of simple character, without a second strain or any repetition of the air.
		It is now frequently applied to a simple melodious air, as distinguished from a brilliant aria, recitative, etcetera, and often forms part of a large movement or scena in oratorio or opera.

		Cavatina Movement 4: Barcarolle - Alexandre Tansman (1897-1986) This is an absolutely wonderful song that John Williams recorded when he was age 17.
		It is played very slowly and both the lowest bass notes and highest treble notes for each measure are supposed to be maintained for as long as possible (as are indicated in the first few measures).
		It starts off very quiet and then when you return to the first part of the song to finish it you should play it through louder than before.

		As a guitarist myself who has been struggling all these years with "Cavatina", it always amazes me how effortlessly John makes the tune sound so simple and as if two guitarists are playing, one for the accompanyment and one for the melody and yet it's all him!
		I think that he is top of the classical guitarist, on the other hand a revolutional guitarist that break the established old style.
