 Camp Creek dealing with flood aftermath
Camp Creek had already been scorched by the 248,000-acre "Cave Creek Complex" fire and the wall of water that ripped through Camp Creek on Tuesday was 12- to 15-feet high.
Flood-control officials did, however, warn residents of the Camp Creek area in the wake of this summer's largest wildfire to scorch the northeast Valley, and provided sandbags to block homes and shifted debris to prevent logjams that could explode with heavy runoff from the recent monsoon storms.
"That (Camp Creek) area was affected by the fires," he said.

Last year's 119,500-acre Willow Fire burned near Payson for weeks, and according to AP reports, it was the second-largest fire in Arizona history until the Cave Creek Complex fire surpassed it this week.
The fire was reportedly ignited by a train and spread by north winds, according to the Bonner County Daily Bee.
An AP report said CDF and fire crews from the Livermore National Labs and Livermore-Pleasanton Fire Department and Alameda County were working the fire; KRON-TV put it at 7,000 acres, and the Chronicle tonight had it at 8,500 acres with 50 percent containment.
