Cayley identified and defined the forces of flight and sketched out an airplane that had the primary elements of a modern aircraft.
Cayley also experimented with variously shaped wings and demonstrated the importance that wing shape had on the ability of an aircraft to generate the lift that kept it afloat.
As aviators were exploring the most extreme reaches of the Earth during the 1920s and 1930s and setting records in the process, other pilots were establishing their own series of records at the major air racing trophy contests of the period.

It is shown that the TDGL equations define a dynamical process when the applied magnetic field varies with time, and a dynamical system when the applied magnetic field is stationary.
These results are obtained in the "\phi = - \omega (\nabla \cdot A)" gauge, which reduces to the standard "\phi = -\nabla \cdot A" gauge if \omega = 1 and to the zero-electric potential gauge if \omega = 0; the treatment captures both in a unified framework.
MPI was defined by the same process and now has many implementations, both vendor-proprietary and publicly available, for a wide variety of parallel computing environments.

Suppose we are given an arbitrary group G of size n and we are asked to construct a Cayley graph with good expansion, i.e.
Alon and Roichman showed that with high probability, the Cayley graph given by G using S as the generating set is a good expander.
We derandomize this to give a deterministic polynomial time algorithm that for an arbitrary group G finds a set S of size O(log n) such that the Cayley graph of G using S is a good expander.

We need help in automata theory, combinatorics, parallel or randomized algorithms, heuristics, and quantum computing.
We do not include algorithms particular to business data processing, communications, operating systems or distributed algorithms, programming languages, AI, graphics, or numerical analysis: it is tough enough covering "general" algorithms and data structures.
However, if you want to tackle one of these areas, we'll consider including them.

To me, the description of the cabin building process was a little too tedious, but the rest of book seemed to flow right along.
After Mohammed's death, his followers initiated military campaigns to first rob, then dominate and finally, wherever possible, convert to Islam and subject to a form of Arab imperialism, a swath of nations from Spain to Indonesia.
The author makes a strong case that today's militant Islam is the true Islam established by its prophet, and the goal of Islam is to physically subjugate the entire Earth to its dominance by deceit, economic strength or military conquest, even if the later happens one decapitation at a time.
