Cecily April Adams (February 6, 1958 – March 3, 2004) was born in Queens, New York, the daughter of sitcom actor Don Adams and singer Adelaide Efantis, and the sister of actress Stacey Adams.
Adams is well-known to fans of Star Trek for portraying Ishka, mother of the Ferengi brothers Rom and Quark.
She died in Los Angeles, California of lung cancer at the age of 46.

Cecily Adams, the second actress to step into the role of "Ishka" in Star Trek: Deep Space Nine and who reprised the role at conventions for "The Ferengi Family Hour," has died after a four-month battle with lung cancer.
Adams died Wednesday at Good Samaritan Hospital in Los Angeles, according to her agent Bruce Tufeld.
Adams took over the role of the female Ferengi that was originated by Andrea Martin beginning with "Ferengi Love Songs" and for three more episodes after that.
