Cedar Fork Township (also designated Township 5) is one of twenty townships within Wake County, North Carolina.
As of the 2000 census, Cedar Fork Township had a population of 10,911, a 309.6% increase over 1990, and a population density of 0.37 people per acre (91/km²).
Cedar Fork Township, occupying 29,376 acres (119 km²) in northwestern Wake County, includes the entirely of the town of Morrisville, portions of Cary, Raleigh, and the Research Triangle Park, as well as the Raleigh-Durham International Airport.

Durham County is located in the north central portion of North Carolina's Piedmont region, an area of rolling foothills approximately four hours east of the Smokey Mountains and three hours west of the Atlantic Ocean.
The county of Durham was created in 1881 despite much opposition from citizens of Orange County (of which Durham was originally a part) who did not want to lose their most prosperous town.
Durham County is now experiencing an economic boom as seen in the jump in per capita income (per person residing in Durham County) from $25,540 in 1997 to $29,903 in 1998, a 17.1% increase (GDCC, 1999).

Wake Schools Associate Superintendent Del Burns told the Board of Education at its Tuesday meeting (Sept. 4) that school business management systems are now running using Oracle software applications, thanks to the hard work by a number of central office employees.
