		Ceephax Acid Crew is an acid house and drum and bass electronic musician named Andy Jenkinson.
		Jenkinson is also known simply as Ceephax, which is a pun on the BBC teletext service Ceefax.
		Ceephax's music between 1998 and 2003 took the sonic styles of vintage Roland drum machines TR-909, TR-606, Roland synthesizers TB-303, SH-101, Korg MS-20, and a Roland MSQ-700 sequencer.

		Ceephax is most certainly best well known as the brother of Squarepusher.
		While Tom Jenkinson veers between spastic IDM craziness, jazz wankery, acid tracks, and combinations of all of these and more, Andy Jenkinson is more known for doing more straightforward acid techno.
		While the easiest thing to compare this album to would probably be Squarepusher’s underrated Selection 16 album (to which Ceephax contributed a remix) as far as the variety of the tracks goes, it can also be compared to Boards Of Canada as far as its use of ambient interludes and shorter tracks.

		the acid versity 12" is well worth the price of admission for the cut with the same name (acid varsity, just for those with shorter attention spans than i)..
		it got i nmy favor before a lot of his backcatalogue cuz the majority of it wasnt str8up acid cuts, as opposed to being more str8forward electronic music that totally wreeked of that early 90s electronic music feel, which is a good thing.

		It's a bit too sad, to be called popmusic (you might expect a funny uptempo piece, I'd say), but it' well crafted stuff and maybe after all, a remarkable collaboration.
		Anyway; "a 303 with an 808 programmed in a fast breakbeat and synths on top" would be the oneliner, but things are never as simple as oneliners want to make you believe and listening to this record gives me ultimate pleasure!
		One side is indeed fast acid, done very well by C. Stevens, but the other side is totally different.
