Celtic Frost - Satan Stole My Teddybear
As a teenager eagerly tracking down all things metal, Celtic Frost had been a huge favorite of mine, but I had never truly gotten into To Mega Therion, which is undoubtedly a mile marker in the development of the current death/fl metal scenes.
Celtic Frost, at the time this album originally hit the streets, was certainly pushing the envelope more than nearly any other band of the era, both in musical approach and image and lyrical content.
Regardless, it's good to at least be able to find this album more readily and anyone daring call themselves a fan of fl or death metal should have a copy of this in their deep dark dungeon.

BNR Metal Pages -- Celtic Frost   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-06)
An enormously influential band in the field of fl/occult metal, Celtic Frost arose from the ashes of Hellhammer, with founder Tom Warrior realizing that his prior band had reached its musical limits and a direction change was necessary.
The essence of Celtic Frost is best captured in the first three albums, with Morbid Tales being the most raw, Pandemonium the most experimental (and BNR favorite), and To Mega Theron being the most consistent and probably the best representation of the band's style.
Despite the rollercoaster waves of popularity, Celtic Frost remains one of the most unique and influential bands of the mid-eighties.

Formed from the ashes of fl/death metal band Hellhammer in 1984, the Swiss based Celtic Frost were a pivotal influence on the death, fl, speed, and gloom metal genres, pioneering many of the musical styles and avant-garde elements that have since become synonymous with bands like Sepultura, Emperor, Dark Funeral, and Enslaved.
The first virtually alienated Celtic Frost's fans, whilst the latter - regarded as a strong comeback album featuring Ain returning to the fold - was considered too avant-garde for MTV airplay, sabotaging the potential mainstream appeal of David Bowie ('Heroes') and Bryan Ferry ('This Island Earth') covers.
Celtic Frost co-founder and frontman Thomas Gabriel Fischer regularly sends commentaries on historical issues, and the site's content has many fundamental insights not found elsewhere such as insider coverage of a 1998 New York City reunion.

 Graveland - Black Metal
Their unification of simple fl metal themes with classical structural principles have enabled this band to hold ground with their long and wandering compositions, dreamlike in their simple melody and poetic recombination.
Similarly vocals emulate the Bathory style in that era, as do patterns of cadence emerging in riff and muscular strumming that is strangely precise for a band this early in its growth, but the first four tracks on this release are unusually feral yet ambitiously majestic in their capture of atmosphere and mood.
Vocals are shouted with the rough timbre of death or fl metal vocalization barely inflected in each pronunciation, and drumming is an outline of rock/punk high energy/low complexity styling.

Celtic metal detectors - professional, easy to use - UK manufacturers and suppliers, products overview
The metal detector is essentially a coil of wire with a current flowing through it, the coil acts like a magnet and as the magnetic field passes over a piece of concealed metal the properties of the coil change.
The electric field may be produced, according to Faraday's law of induction in two ways: by the motion of a conductor cutting across the lines of magnetic flux of a magnetic field or by a change in the magnetic flux passing through a coil immersed in a non constant magnetic field.
As the detector passes over a piece of metal then the inductance alters and the frequency alters and you do the rest.
