Cemaes is a village on the north coast of Anglesey in Wales (grid reference SH369933), on Cemaes Bay, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, which is partly owned by the National Trust.
Cemaes is the most northerly village in Wales and its development has been shaped by the natural resources available to it.
Cemaes is located on the Anglesey Coastal Path and is quite popular with walkers.

There are a few ways you can get to Cemaes by car from the rest of Wales, but the simplest is by sticking to the main A roads, the A5/A55 and the A5025 once on the Isle of Anglesey.
If you cross the Britannia Bridge on to the island which is on the A5/A55, you can then continue until you see the signs for valley (not RAF Valley), which is just before Holyhead.

This Cemaes Bay collection houses a series of pictures, photos and memorabilia charting the development, and tragedies, of shipping through the ages.
The centrepiece of the Cemaes Bay Maritime Collection consists of twelve original paintings depicting each of the disasters, which David and Sandi commissioned Moelfre artist Keith Shone to paint.
The earliest shipwreck featured is that of the Royal Yacht “The Mary” sunk off the Skerries in 1675, and the final disaster featured is of the steamship, Castillian, sunk in 1943.
