		I happened to be at the very popular Teluk Cempedak beach in Kuantan a few days back and I was shocked to see reclamation work going on.
		No wonder they developed another bay, Teluk Tonkang, some distance away, but this place is not as nice as Teluk Cempedak.
		Teluk Cempedak, if I may say so, is the only attraction in Kuantan and once it's gone, I can bet that even fewer tourists will come.

	MRCB [ Core Activities ]
		MRCB Environment Sdn Bhd was recently awarded a pilot project to rehabilitate the beach along Teluk Cempedak, Kuantan, Pahang by the Department of Irrigation and Drainage Malaysia.
		It involves using the Pressure Equalisation Module (PEM) system in combination with sand nourishment, where the PEM pipes are installed under the original sea bed to assist in equalising the pressure of ground water level and stimulate sand sedimentation.
		The beach is sand nourished to achieve a wider beach profile after which additional PEM pipes are then installed under new sea bed to reduce beach erasian.
