  Tamiya's 1/35 Centaur Cruiser Tank MK.IV
The A27L was renamed the Centaur and the A27 renamed the Cromwell.
These tanks were the only tanks to have been used by the Royal Marines and the only centaurs to go into battle.
The Centaurs were used to destroy beach-obstacles, pill-boxes, and other strong points that dotted the beaches.

NASA - Centaur: America's Workhorse in Space
Centaur was not to be just another booster, but "the" rocket by which NASA would conduct extensive earth orbit missions, lunar investigations and planetary studies.
Centaur's first mission objective was to send the unmanned Surveyor spacecraft to the Moon.
Centaur continues to support scientific missions such as SOHO was successfully on Atlas/Centaur-121 on December 2, 1995.

Tank gun - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
As the tank's primary armament, they are almost always employed in a direct-fire mode to defeat a variety of ground targets at all ranges, including dug-in infantry, lightly-armored vehicles, and especially other heavily-armored tanks.
Tanks intended specifically for infantry support (the infantry tanks) which were expected to take out emplacements and infantry concentrations carried large calibre weapons to fire large high explosive shells though these were quite effective against other vehicles.
This was dropped as an unworkable idea and the majority of British "Close Support" (CS) tanks had their turret gun replaced with a howitzer or similar as with the Centaur CS with its 95 mm HE firing gun.

Spaceflight Now | Atlas Launch Report | Atlas 3B vehicle data
Structural integrity of the tanks is maintained in flight by the pressurization system and on the ground by either internal tank pressure or application of mechanical stretch.
Centaur, the Atlas upper stage, is 10 feet in diameter and 38.5 feet long.
Centaur avionics perform the inertial guidance and attitude control computations for both Atlas and Centaur phases of flight, and control Centaur tank pressures and propellant use.

ROBOTECH: UNDF Veritech Mecha - Centaur Hovertank   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-10-08)
The armor on the Centaur stops all small arms and heavy infantry weapons fire, provides good resistance to light mecha-mounted weaponry, such as the Zentraedi 22.3mm HE autocannon round, and fair resistance to medium mecha-mounted weaponry, such as the Valkyrie's 55mm APFSDS round.
When the revised Centaur was devised for the competition for the next UEG hovertank, significant advanced in armor technology were applied to increase the protection to the crew.
Centaur mode provided the tank with a means to raise the turret for increased range and visibility and the capability to operate better behind cover of hills, since the tank could literally lift its turret above a hillside to fire, then lower itself behind cover to reload and locate a new target.

The first Atlas Centaur, denoted "C-1", was erected on the new Launch Complex 36A at Cape Canaveral during the spring of 1961.
Centaur shredded, causing the vehicle to explode 55 seconds after liftoff.
Centaur's fiberglass foam core weather shield panels were designed to keep the LH2 fuel cool until Atlas fell away and Centaur's RL10 engines ignited.

Missing Links Centaur in postwar Greek service
Greek Centaurs were equiped with a 6pdr Ordance Quick Firing Mk.5 (57mm) gun and most of them had the Type B hull.
At least one greek Centaur survives at the Armor Museum of the Armor Training Center, though in very bad condition and two turrets are at the Greek War Museum in Athens.
Centaur during the exercise, covered with tree branches and nets, crew and riders wear M1 helmets (funny actually), unfortunately the number is unreadable.

You should be using a galvanized tank or some other type of pneumatic tank that chlorine won't eat up in a short time.
A bladder tank is not a retention tank anyway and it is not used for contact time for chlorine.
Most retention tanks are waterlogged and the water enters and exits in two locations making the mixing easier.

 Centaur Upper Stage
Centaur’s role is to provide the final delivery of the Space Vehicle (payload) into a desired orbit.
STRUCTURAL: The Centaur structural elements include stainless steel LOX and LH2 tanks separated by an intermediate bulkhead (reduces heat transfer between the tanks), main engine mounts, forward and aft adapters for SV and Titan core vehicle mounting, respectively, forward and aft bulkheads which enclose the Centaur’s forward and aft ends.
The tank is made of very thin stainless steel, less than 200ths of an inch thick.

 Centaur Motor Scooter Information
Designed as portable transportation for boat and small aircraft owners, hunters, and vacationers, the Centaur was a full-sized scooter that folded up to look like a large suitcase with a padded top.
At 20” by 32” by 16”, a folded Centaur was not overly large, but it weighed 90 pounds dry.
The gas tank had both a shutoff valve and a sealable vent that allowed the scooter to be stored in any position.

Centaur rockets, so I decided to do some research and determine how many of these are potentially observable.
Atlas Centaurs are relatively large upper stage rockets, most of which are initially in geostationary type transfer orbits (i.e., an apogee of 36000 km and a perigee of a few hundred kilometers).
Additionally, the tank surface is often decorated with mission logos/art work which may also alter the reflective properties of the surface.

 1.JmA - birds
The Centaur was developed alongside the better known Cromwell tank, the difference between the two being that the Centaur used the 395 hp Liberty engine, that had powered most British Cruiser tanks since the start of the war.
The tanks had lines and numbers painted on the turrets to allow the fire controller on the LCT to direct the fire of the tanks.
Originally, the tanks were to be mounted on the LCTs without their engines, but when the setup was demonstrated for Montgomery, he allegedly commented that it was a shame to carry the tanks all the way to Normandy and then leave them on the LCTs.

 THE A27M CROMWELL TANK
The tank was a linear development of the A15 Crusader, via the A24 Cavalier (simply put a Cromwell hull and 6 Pdr turret, but with a Crusader type rear hull to accommodate the old Liberty engine.), and the A27L Centaur.
It had been believed that many Centaurs were converted to Cromwells, by replacing the Liberty with a Meteor, but it now seems more likely that the contracts were changed and the tanks produced as Cromwells from the start.
