Centered hexagonal number - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
A centered hexagonal number, or hex number is a centered figurate number that represents a hexagon with a dot in the center and all other dots surrounding the center dot in a hexagonal lattice.
Viewed from the opposite perspective, centered hexagonal numbers are differences of two consecutive cubes, so that the centered hexagonal numbers are the gnomon of the cubes.
In particular, prime centered hexagonal numbers are cuban primes.

Centered Hexamorphic Numbers by Cliff Pickover   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
They describe the number of grid points in nested concentric hexagonal lattices.
A centered hexagonal number is called "centered hexamorphic" if it terminates with its associated centered hexagonal integer.
A convenient notation a_5 = aaaaa can be employed where the subscript indicates the number of times the digit or group appears consecutively.

Centered number - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia   (Site not responding. Last check: 2007-11-04)
Centred numbers are class of series of figurate numbers, each formed by a central dot, surrounded by polygonal layers with a constant number of sides.
Just as is the case with regular polygonal numbers, the first centered k-gonal number is 1.
Whereas a prime number p cannot be a regular polygonal number (except of course the second k-agonal number), primes occur often enough in the sequences of centered polygonal numbers.

The Space Environment Services Center (SESC) sunspot number for the indicated date is from the daily Solar Region Summary issued by SESC.
The SESC sunspot number is computed according to the Wolf Sunspot Number R=k (10g+s), where g is the number of sunspot groups (regions), s is the total number of individual spots in all the groups, and k is a variable scaling factor (usually
