The Central Conservatory of Music (中央音乐学院) is a university in Beijing, China.
Undergraduate programmes of four or five years are offered in composition, conducting, musicology, voice and opera, piano, orchestral instruments, and traditional Chinese musical instruments; there is a six-year middle school with courses in piano, orchestral instruments, traditional instruments and music theory; and two primary schools cater for full-time and evening students.
Conservatory students and teachers participate in The China Youth Symphony Orchestra, the Chinese Traditional Musical Instruments Ensemble, the Conservatory Students Chorus, the Middle School Students Orchestra and the Primary School Students Performing Group, all of which have performed to much acclaim on every continent.

Professor Li Xiangting is acknowledged as one the most important guqin players of his generation and is a distinguished Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music, Beijing.
The recital he held in 1982 at the Oriental Music Festival in Durham, England was the first of its kind in the history of the guqin.
He was involved in the musical arrangement for the art education film "Qin" and the television Drama "The Courtship of the Phoenix".
