A network of concrete and rubble repositories have recently been established across the Grampians region at Ararat, Dooen, Hopetoun, Murtoa, Stawell, St Arnaud and Warracknabeal, encouraging construction and demolition waste to be diverted from landfill in rural areas.
The facilities provide for the recovery of clean concrete and rubble, which will be crushed for (use in civil construction works/primarily as road sub-base/use as a subbase for road making).
