		The Central League (セントラル・リーグ Sentoraru Riigu) is one of Japan's two major professional baseball leagues (the other is the Pacific League).
		The league was founded in 1949 with eight teams.
		The Central and Pacific League champions face off at the end of the season in the Japan Series.
