The Department of Economics at the University of Glasgow continues a distinguished record in economics that dates back to Adam Smith (1723-1790), widely renowned as the father of modern economics and a Professor at the University 300 years after its foundation in 1451.

As a graduate student at Central University of Financing and Economics majoring in public finance, I realize that what I have learned in China is far from enough.
I entered Central University of Finance and Economics at the age of 18 with exceptional score in the College Entrance Examination.
I was the instructor for "Public Finance", "English as a Foreign Language" at the Central University for Nationalities, "Bank Accounting" at the Institute of Administration of Chinese Academy of Science and I also taught the course of "Administration of State-owned Property" in the Department of Public Finance of Central Univeristy of Finance and Economics.

The television network Channel News Asia reported that Beijing's Central University of Finance and Economics had suspended classes and put eight employees under observation after a retired professor who lived on the campus died of the virus.
But university administrators are allowing each department to decide whether to continue to operate normally, said an official who declined to give his name.
The official said that the university is urging students to remain on the campus rather than return home for the upcoming May Day holiday, which has been shortened by the government to curtail travel.
